“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22
So many work hard at doing the right thing, so that others will think well of them. They master the art of doing for the wrong reason. They want to impress others.
However, being the right person is much more potent than doing the right thing. When you are right, doing right becomes easier. When you work on becoming the person that you were created to be, you are able under almost every circumstance to do what is right because it is right.
I have never seen a mango tree bear apples, or a grapevine produce watermelons, have you? I am sure you haven’t either. It is the same thing with a person who is right in himself or herself. A right person will not bear wrong actions. It is just not possible.
Remember, God added value to you by putting Himself into you. He did that because He wanted you to ‘be’ like Him.
As we focus on becoming what God has called us to be, our actions will come out of that place of truth. That is where we find our power to do all that God has assigned for us us to do.
