Your Word for This Day: “I will Arise”

Wednesday, August 30, 2017

“Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die?”” 2 Kings 7:3

So many times, we are of the opinion that our life is a stagnant entity. We get up, get involved in some activities like work, family matters, recreation and the like and then return to sleep to start another day.

This is such an incorrect view of life.  God did not create us to go through the motions.  He created us to live the abundant life.  He said in His word, “I came that you may have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

There is more to life than just existing.  Life must be filled with vigour and enthusiasm.

It is the time to reposition yourself for the next move of God.   This is YOUR time!

It all begins with the decision to change.  Whether it is to change your physical position or to change the way you think about the situation that you are in.

Often, our thinking prevents us from moving forward in life.  Every time there is an opportunity for you to change, you begin to think that it is not possible.  “What will happen?  It will not work out.” “I shouldn’t even try because I will not succeed.”  All of these negative thoughts flood your mind and you end up talking yourself out of the very thing that you should do.

My friend, it is time that you refuse to listen to that negative voice and push your way through to your destiny.  Know that there are more positives in your life than negatives.  Right now, you may not be seeing what you want to see or hearing what you want to hear, but believe me when I tell you that there is a victory waiting for you if you will push through all the stuff that blocks your view.

This is the time to gather all of your strength and say to yourself: “I will arise and fight.”
