“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Revelation 12:11
This is the dawning of a new day. A day to rejoice and be glad that God has preserved your life and kept you alive to do His will. As you allow these thoughts to sink into your spirit, you will truly come alive and fulfill what the scripture above states.
To overcome the enemy we must first apply the blood of the Lamb. We must on a daily basis apply the blood to our hearts, as the Israelites applied the blood to the doorpost of their homes. The precious blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is as powerful and potent as it was when it saturated the cross on Calvary. It still washes and perfectly cleanses that which it is applied to.
The application of the Blood of Jesus Christ places you in a position of praise and worship. You cannot help but put on your dancing shoes and like Miriam, get your tambourine and shout to the Lord in thanksgiving.
Today, determine in your heart to lose your life in praise and worship unto God. Let the high praises of God be in your mouth. You will overcome every strategy of the enemy as you lose your life in worship unto the King. Come on and bless the Lord today!
Hallelujah! Lord I bless You and worship You. Thank You for making me an overcomer, enabling me to eat from the tree of life, as You said in the book of Revelation. Thank You for Your shed blood and the price You paid to make me a winner. I give You my life, Lord. Live through me on the earth. Amen.
“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding”. Proverbs 4:7
A true child of God knows that there is only one way to gain wisdom and that is through the Word of God. As we study the Word and encounter the Spirit of the living God in each line we read, we gain insight into life. What are God’s statutes? They are His Words. His commandments. His precepts. If we abide in them and they abide in us we will be the wisest people on the earth.
Coupled with wisdom is understanding. We must strive to allow the Holy Spirit to give us understanding of God’s Word. It is dangerous to lean on our own understanding, which is influenced by our education, life experiences and personalities. Our minds must be renewed and our understanding of God and His kingdom must have its foundation in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth.
Today, purpose in your heart to pursue wisdom and let the eyes of your understanding be enlightened.
Lord, You know me. You know how much I need Your wisdom to be able to navigate this day successfully. I ask You for an increased ability to discern and understand that which I need to know today. Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Wisdom, be with me now and always. Amen.
“I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.” Psalm 3:6
Fear is an emotion that has developed within God’s children everywhere in the world. Many of us can quote 2 Timothy 1:7 that states, “For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Yet with all the knowledge that we have, we have not been able to defeat the spirit of fear! What is it about fear that is so addictive and transferable? Why is it easier to fear than to trust?
Living in the physical world causes us to put more emphasis on the things that are seen and experienced, than on the things that are written in God’s Word and the reality of His Spirit. Even if in the natural realm there seems to be ten thousand people against you, if you would only use your spiritual senses you would realize that there are more for you than be against you.
Will you refuse to be afraid, and go forth in the strength of the Lord today? Remember there are more angels on assignment to protect and minister to you, than the enemies that may rise up against you. In this be confident!
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that You would open the eyes of my understanding so that I may know without a doubt that You are with me, Your rod and staff will continue to comfort and guide me every day of my life. Amen
“For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring’.” Acts 17:28
As you begin this day, start with the acknowledgment that this day belongs to YOU. God has given it to you as a gift, and what you do with it and how you live it will be your gift back to Him.
Today is a special day in your journey of life and everything about it is important. What will you do? Where will you do? What will you invest in? Who will you speak to? Are you excited about today???
Your journey has been predestined for you before the beginning of time. As you embark on this day be confident of this fact that God is with you and as you have put your faith and trust in Him, in Him you live, you move and you have your being. You cannot lose!
Today, spend some quality time in God’s presence in the word, in prayer and in worship, to receive direction for your day. Be conscious of the fact that it has been ordained by Him for you for this time of your life. Nothing with God is by chance. He orders your steps and will lead you in your quest to know Him more and become more like Him in your everyday life.
“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” Jeremiah 29:11 MSG
God has a plan for your life. Yes, you will experience challenges along the way, but don’t ever let that cause you to doubt His good plan for you. You can overcome those obstacles. The most important way of successfully navigating through your challenges is remembering and living the fact that there is nothing too hard for God.
If you would really trust His love for you and the plan, He has for your life, then you will be able to overcome with His help every challenge and obstacle. Remember that He knows the plan He has for you. Those plans must be fulfilled. He desires your help through submission to His will, so that everything can go according to His plan.
He is willing and able – all He asks is that we be obedient and submissive. What is your answer to the question that was asked to this question today: “Is there anything too hard for the Lord for you?
“David therefore departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. So when his brothers and all his father’s house heard it, they went down there to him. And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him. So he became captain over them. And there were about four hundred men with him.” 1 Samuel 22:1-2
God has given us promises that he will keep. He is not a man that He will promise us something and then fail to do it. It does not matter how long it takes once it is the word from the mouth of God it will come to pass. It must come to pass. And, on the way for His word coming to pass in our lives we will encounter challenged. But, God has given us the power to overcome every obstacle in our path!
How do we overcome challenges?
Overcoming some challenges can be as simple as remembering that nothing lasts forever. Even though this may appear to be a rather simplistic thought, it is actually true.
When you are in the middle of a tough situation, you should stop and smell the roses and remember that the situation will pass. The Bible often quotes that “It came to pass.” We often get caught up in the drama and the stress of a challenge or obstacle. This blinds us to the reality that this moment is simply a stepping-stone to where we are going.
King David understood this so much that even when he was running for his life he did not let it cloud his vision of his future. He knew that God would surely bring to pass what He had ordained. This fact kept David focused on his purpose. He developed his leadership skills as he managed those who followed him. He worked on his relationship with God. He prepared himself for the role to come. Keeping focus in the midst of a challenge is extremely important.
Do not lose sight of the purpose for which you were born.
“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32: 27
There is NOTHING too hard for the Lord.
He is the God of the Universe. The One who created the heavens and the earth. The Supreme Master and Original Inventor of all things. He is the Controller and Director of life’s Journey. He knows where we are at every stage of our journey. He is in control of the vehicle that we are travelling in. All we have to do is trust Him.
Whether we are twenty, sixty or eighty years old, God is still in control and He is working things out His way on our behalf. We must choose to trust Him with our journey. We must decide that God uses the challenges and obstacles to bring us to the place that He has designed for us to be.
Yes, we have a choice to make. Which choice would you choose? Would go choose to trust in Him and stand on His word, or to give up hope and just go with life?
If we make the right choice, God will turn up and make the change in our situations. It is His will for us to be victors and not victims. Remember that everything about us was pre-arranged before we were created. God would not let anything destroy His plan and purpose for our lives. His will must be accomplished. His word cannot return to Him empty.
