Your Word for This Day: “I Will Not Fear”

Tuesday, October 17, 2017

“I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.” Psalm 3:6

Fear is an emotion that has developed within God’s children everywhere in the world.  Many of us can quote 2 Timothy 1:7 that states, “For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”  Yet with all the knowledge that we have, we have not been able to defeat the spirit of fear! What is it about fear that is so addictive and transferable?  Why is it easier to fear than to trust?

Living in the physical world causes us to put more emphasis on the things that are seen and experienced, than on the things that are written in God’s Word and the reality of His Spirit. Even if in the natural realm there seems to be ten thousand people against you, if you would only use your spiritual senses you would realize that there are more for you than be against you.

Will you refuse to be afraid, and go forth in the strength of the Lord today?  Remember there are more angels on assignment to protect and minister to you, than the enemies that may rise up against you. In this be confident!

Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that You would open the eyes of my understanding so that I may know without a doubt that You are with me, Your rod and staff will continue to comfort and guide me every day of my life. Amen

Your Word for This Day: “He Has The Plan for Me!”

Thursday, October 5, 2017

“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” Jeremiah 29:11 MSG

God has a plan for your life. Yes, you will experience challenges along the way, but don’t ever let that cause you to doubt His good plan for you. You can overcome those obstacles. The most important way of successfully navigating through your challenges is remembering and living the fact that there is nothing too hard for God.

If you would really trust His love for you and the plan, He has for your life, then you will be able to overcome with His help every challenge and obstacle. Remember that He knows the plan He has for you. Those plans must be fulfilled. He desires your help through submission to His will, so that everything can go according to His plan.

He is willing and able – all He asks is that we be obedient and submissive. What is your answer to the question that was asked to this question today: “Is there anything too hard for the Lord for you?

Your Word for This Day: “Overcoming Challenges!”

Wednesday, October 4, 2017

“David therefore departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. So when his brothers and all his father’s house heard it, they went down there to him. And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him. So he became captain over them. And there were about four hundred men with him.” 1 Samuel 22:1-2

God has given us promises that he will keep. He is not a man that He will promise us something and then fail to do it. It does not matter how long it takes once it is the word from the mouth of God it will come to pass. It must come to pass.  And, on the way for His word coming to pass in our lives we will encounter challenged. But, God has given us the power to overcome every obstacle in our path!

How do we overcome challenges?

Overcoming some challenges can be as simple as remembering that nothing lasts forever. Even though this may appear to be a rather simplistic thought, it is actually true.

When you are in the middle of a tough situation, you should stop and smell the roses and remember that the situation will pass. The Bible often quotes that “It came to pass.” We often get caught up in the drama and the stress of a challenge or obstacle. This blinds us to the reality that this moment is simply a stepping-stone to where we are going.

King David understood this so much that even when he was running for his life he did not let it cloud his vision of his future. He knew that God would surely bring to pass what He had ordained. This fact kept David focused on his purpose. He developed his leadership skills as he managed those who followed him. He worked on his relationship with God. He prepared himself for the role to come. Keeping focus in the midst of a challenge is extremely important.

Do not lose sight of the purpose for which you were born.

Your Word for This Day: “There is NOTHING too hard…for God!”

Tuesday, October 3, 2017

“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32: 27

There is NOTHING too hard for the Lord.

He is the God of the Universe. The One who created the heavens and the earth. The Supreme Master and Original Inventor of all things.  He is the Controller and Director of life’s Journey. He knows where we are at every stage of our journey. He is in control of the vehicle that we are travelling in. All we have to do is trust Him.

Whether we are twenty, sixty or eighty years old, God is still in control and He is working things out His way on our behalf. We must choose to trust Him with our journey.  We must decide that God uses the challenges and obstacles to bring us to the place that He has designed for us to be.

Yes, we have a choice to make. Which choice would you choose? Would go choose to trust in Him and stand on His word, or to give up hope and just go with life?

If we make the right choice, God will turn up and make the change in our situations. It is His will for us to be victors and not victims. Remember that everything about us was pre-arranged before we were created. God would not let anything destroy His plan and purpose for our lives. His will must be accomplished. His word cannot return to Him empty.

Your Word for This Day: “Living the Abundant Life Now!”

Friday, September 29, 2017

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John 10:10

Happy Friday to You! We trust that this morning you are enjoying the blessing of life that has been granted to you by your Heavenly Father who loves you so much!

If you are a follower of this devotion, you will realize that there are certain scriptures that resurface regularly, because we want to make sure that all of our readers come into a full awareness of what Christ has done for us. Today’s scripture is one of those. It is a reminder that God’s plan for you is to live the ABUNDANT LIFE, or as another version states… a rich and satisfying life. It is a reminder that this life is found only in Christ. And, it reminds us that there is an opposing force, a mutual enemy, who concentrates all of his energy, time and resources to ensure that we don’t experience fully that life.

That’s why we have to be so much more determined, committed and focused on staying with Jesus, and drawing from Him everything that we need. Today, we declare God’s word over us with boldness – we will access all that He has made available to us, with no apology!

Daily Declaration:

  • By the blood of Jesus I am free! I am free from the slavery of sin, from condemnation, guilt, and shame. I am free from the ways and effects of death. I have life in Jesus! (Romans 8:1).
  • I have ceased being a people pleaser. I am a God-pleaser (Galatians 1:10).
  • Jesus loved me enough to die for me so that He could live in me and do His works of faith in and through me. I can do nothing without Him. I have stopped trying to do things in my strength. Jesus is my strength (Galatians 2:20).
  • I am the apple of God’s eye (Zechariah 2:8).
  • God rejoices over me with shouts of joy (Zephaniah 3).
  • I am a precious child of God, growing up to be a mature son/daughter of the Most High God (John 1:12; Rom. 8:14).
  • For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline (1 Tim. 1:7).
  • …As He is, so also am I in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear… (1 John 4:17-18).
  • Since Jesus, the Lion of Judah, lives in me, I am bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1).
  • And I know that God causes all things to work together for my good because I love the Lord and I am called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
  • Whatever anyone means for evil against me, God will turn it around for good, to preserve my life and many people’s live (Gen. 50:20).

I declare that I am anointed to prosper financially and to use my finances for the advancing of the Kingdom of God.

I cancel the effects of every generational curse of poverty in Jesus’ name.  I set myself free by applying the blood of Jesus Christ, from every and all alliance with every generational curse of poverty.

I am a new creation in Christ, and so, I walk in victory in my finances.

I declare that I have the Spirit of wisdom living in me. I know how to conduct my affairs wisely and so see the rewards of my labour with the help of the Lord.

I am a giver. I give liberally, and so, I shall receive liberally. for the word of God says, “Whatever a man sows, that he shall reap” (Galatians 6:7).

By faith I call my finances restored.  I am prosperous, and full of God’s abundance according to the Lord Jesus Christ’s plan for my life (Jeremiah 29:11).

In Christ Jesus’ name. Amen!
