Your Word for This Day: “Sharing His Love”

Friday, December 15, 2017

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7

Our God is such an awesome God, that when we think about Him our hearts swell with gratitude for all that He has done, is doing and is yet to do. Loving God comes so easy to us, His redeemed children.

But loving people? It is so much easier to love God than to love people. It takes some doing, some praying and some real submission. However, it does not matter how hard it is to do, we are commanded to do it. Beloved, we have to love one another.

We have to be faithful to love those who treat us good and those who treat us unkindly. Those who understand us and those who do not. Let’s commit to be faithful to love so that we can reap love. Love is of God and  everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. We know Him and that is why we can love Him and others.

Today’s Declaration: With the help of the Holy Spirit, I will love people as God has loved me. I will be a conduit of His love.

Your Word for This Day: “Living Life with an Unchangeable God!”

Monday, November 27, 2017

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

Many things in life change.  The sunsets change. We change.  Hairstyles change.  Fashion changes.  Automobiles change. The weather changes.   In fact I have heard it said that the only permanent thing in life is change itself and so we should not resist it because it will inevitably happen. But, thank God there is one change that will never occur and that is God.  He is immutable, He changes not.  Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today and forever.

Upon this truth we build our lives. Jesus is the rock, the solid unchangeable rock on which we must build our lives.

Whatever you may be facing today, remember that your God cannot change.  He delivered Daniel from the lion’s den; He fed Elijah by a raven; He let Israel drink water from a rock; He healed Peter’s mother-in-law; He fed thousands with five loaves and two fishes and He raised Jairus’ dead daughter back to life.

Your God is still the same.  Don’t believe the lies of the enemy.  He has not changed.  He is still working all things together for your good.  Trust Him today and build your life on His Word.  Be like the wise man who built his house upon the rock, and when the winds and rains beat upon the house, it did not fall because the foundation, Jesus Christ, was firm, solid and immovable.

Dear God, I praise You for who You are.  I take courage and find strength in You.  Lord I pray for the grace to build my life on Your word. Help me to anchor myself in You today because I know that though things may change around me, You will never change. Amen.

Your Word for This Day: “Living With a Faithful God”

Friday, November 24, 2017

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Does it not amaze you, just how much the Lord loves you? So many times we have gone away from Him and done things that we know have caused Him pain, yet His mercies, love, and compassion never fail. Every day we experience His goodness in abundance.  He is such a faithful God.  Even when we are not faithful, He is.

God loves us more than we would ever know, understand or believe. God tells us in the Book of Jeremiah, “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love.”  There was never a time when He did not love us and there will never be a time when he does not love us.  Out of this love issues His faithfulness.  We can depend on God to do what He says He will do.

You may be waiting for the fulfillment of a promise that you received from the Lord.  Don’t give up, and don’t give in.  Remember His faithfulness to Israel.  Remember His faithfulness to Abraham. Remember His faithfulness to those who chose to trust in Him.  Keep declaring to yourself, “He who has promised is faithful.”

Believe the faithfulness of God in your heart and confess it with your mouth.  Hold fast to the confession of your faith.  Be steadfast.  Be immovable.  God is faithful. He will not fail you.  Great is His faithfulness!

Awesome God, You truly are faithful.  Today I stand on Your Word and place my trust in Your unfailing love.  Thank You for being a God that I could depend upon.  Thank You for all that You have done, doing and about to do.  I promise to keep my trust in You and believe that all You have promised You will do.  Amen.

Your Word for This Day: “Living with the Spirit of Truth”

Thursday, November 23, 2017

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.” John 16:13

God’s love for us is demonstrated through many ways, but two of the most dynamic ways are first, the sending of His only Son, Jesus Christ, and secondly, the sending of the Comforter, teacher and guide, His precious Holy Spirit.

Life lived with the Spirit of Truth is indeed an exciting and rewarding life.  The Holy Spirit has the awesome responsibility to lead and guide us into all truth.  What is truth?  God’s Word is truth.  The Holy Spirit leads us into the truth of God’s Word and makes it real and practical to us.  As He guides us in our daily reading and study of the Word, we get to know the heart of the Father.

In the world today, man’s wisdom is often used to understand God and His Word.  This approach can never be accurate because of our sinful nature.  Carnal minds cannot understand spiritual truths. Our only hope of true knowledge and understanding comes through the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth.

Today, open your heart to Him and let Him take you on a journey in the Word. I promise you that you will be amazed at what you will discover about God, His word and yourself.  As He takes that which HE hears and makes it known to you, you will wonder why you did not do this before.  Come on, start enjoying fellowship with the Spirit of Truth and embark on the journey of a transformed life.

God my Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Thank You for demonstrating Your love for us through Him.  Precious Holy Spirit, thank You for being my Guide and my Counselor.  Amen.

Your Word for This Day: “Living a Life of Authority”

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

“And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit[i] on earth will be permitted in heaven.” Matthew 16:19

“The keys of the kingdom of heaven.”  Keys represent ownership and authority.  If you own your home you have keys for it. You have keys for your car. You have keys for your safety deposit box.  Well, as a child of God you can have keys to the Kingdom of heaven. Praise the Lord!  What provision our Father has made available to us.  Doesn’t it make you wonder, then, if I have the keys; why do I not possess the kingdom of heaven in a more meaningful way?  Positionally, we have the keys, but, experientially, we are still living outside of the kingdom. It just does not make sense.

Having the keys is one thing, using the keys is another issue. Child of God, Jesus has taken back the keys and given them to you.

God has done all that He is going to do for us.  He has given us the keys.  He can’t use them for us. We have to use them.  We have to know and believe that we have the power to change our circumstances for the better. Arise in your spirit today. Refuse to live under your circumstances.

You can do it. You must do it. You will do it.  You have the keys. Take the kingdom of heaven by force today and release all that God has for you.   It is yours because Jesus paid the price for you to access it. Arise in Jesus’ name and use your keys.

Lord, I will arise and use my keys that You have given to me.  Thank You for opening the eyes of my understanding.  Thank You that I am not a victim but a victor. Thank You for paying the price for me to live victoriously on the earth.  Amen.

Your Word for This Day: “Living a Glory Filled Life”

Friday, November 10, 2017

“Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you.” Isaiah 60:1

What is it that distinguishes the children of God from the children of the world?  It is the glory of their God that is risen upon them. Once you have experienced God’s glory, you cannot be the same.  It releases you from every bond and every chain that entangles you.

When you experience God’s glory, you must arise. You must arise above every spirit of fear, anger, unforgiveness, jealousy, envy, malice and the like.  The enemy has no hold on a child of God who has experienced His glory.

God’s glory enables you to shine for Him everywhere you go so that men would know who Jesus is. Each person experiences the glory of God in a unique and different way.  Your experience with God will allow your light to come to you in a way that is tailor-made for you.  Don’t miss ‘your’ light.  Jesus is the Light of the world but He is also your personal light.  Allow Him to come to you and as He comes, He brings His glory.

In His glory there is everything you need to live the life of Christ.  Let Him come in. Let Him cover you with His glory. Then and only then, will you be able to arise and shine in this dark world.

Lord, I need to shine for You more.  Please visit me today and touch my heart so that I can experience Your glory in a new way.  Thank You, Lord, for making provision for me to receive You into my life on a continuous basis. I love You Lord and I will let Your glory be risen on me today.  Amen.

Your Word for This Day: “Living a Prayer Filled Life”

Wednesday, November 12, 2017

“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.” Colossians 4:2

The gift of prayer that God has given to us must be used constantly in our daily walk with God. Praying must become like breathing.  We do not think to breathe, we do it naturally.  It is how we stay alive.  When someone ceases to breathe, they cease to live.

Prayer is what keeps the Spirit of God alive in us.  Looking at the life of our Lord, we see Him in prayer often, demonstrating the importance of prayer as the vitality of the Christian life. Jesus Christ taught by example.  His disciples saw and heard Him pray and they desired that He would teach them to pray.

You must also live a prayer-filled life. You must be earnest and intense in your approach to prayer.  Let the knowledge that praying enables you to enter the throne room and be in the presence of your God, stir you to pray at all times. In every situation or circumstance, prayer must be our first recourse. Men must always pray and not be faint-hearted.

Today, know that God answers prayer and let that knowledge drive you to develop a new and powerful prayer life.

Lord Jesus, please help me to pray more. In my own strength I cannot do it but I believe Your word that says I can do all things through You. Today I am asking for Your help so that I could become a person of effectual fervent prayer.  Thank You for the gift of prayer.     Amen.
