Your Word for This Day: “More Than a Conqueror!”

Thursday, August 17, 2017

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:37

The Bible gives us a list of things that will come up against us and cause us at times to stumble and fall, but it also goes on to say that despite what we go through, we are more than a conqueror, not because of ourselves, but because of whose we are.

We belong to Jesus Christ.

And, because we belong to Him, His strength is available to us and His wisdom is our wisdom. As a child of God, His power is within you.  It lives in you and it was placed there to enable you to deal with the issues of life.

You are not alone.

You are not defeated.

You are not a failure.

You are a child of God and you are more than a conqueror.

Lift yourself up today and walk in the true knowledge of who you are.

Your Word for This Day: “Built to Stand!”

Wednesday, August 16, 2017

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13

Knowing who you are enables you to stand under the pressures of life when they come to you. When you know that there is a purpose for your life, you are able to stand and with the help of God and others in your life, come through the problems successfully.

God who made you, has put within you the strength and the fortitude needed for every situation that will confront you.

Encourage yourself today.

There may be challenges in your home, on your job, with your health and even in your relationships… but know this today, you are stronger than you think. With God, you can get through it and come out looking better than when you went it.

But, in the midst of it all know that you were built to stand.

Greater is He that is inside of you than everything that you are going through.

Your Word for This Day: “Trained to Reign”

Tuesday, August 15, 2017

Those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17

Why do I go through so much difficulties?”

“Why can’t life be easier for me?”

“When will all of this come to an end?”

“Why don’t I have any friends?”

There are more questions than answers for many of us, and so, at times confusion reigns in our minds and affects our emotions. No one is exempt from the challenges of life, but know this: you will win the battle if you refuse to quit.

God is training you and equipping you to reign in the place He has destined for you.

There is purpose in what you go through.  There is a reason for the pain.  The principal thing is that in the end you will REIGN.

You are greater than you imagine and stronger than you look.

Know that God has you in His hands, it’s all written in His book.

You are being trained to reign.

Your Word for This Day: “Stronger than That!”

Friday, August 11, 2017

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” Ephesians 6:10

Do you realize that many people think that disciples of Christ are are very weak and inconsistent?

You hear all about people who say that they love God but do not live as people who actually do love God.

You, however, because you know who you are and whose you are, do not fall into that category.  You are stronger than that.

You are wiser than that.  You are more focused than that.  You know who you are and you are on your way to fulfill your destiny.

Yes, the problems come.  Yes, the challenges are there.  Yes, the temptations are real. Yes, the pressures of life do exist. All of the above is real, but you are stronger than that.  You have One on your side who has enabled you to persist. You have God on the inside who causes you to triumph.

It may be all around you.  All the others may be still struggling with their identity and trying to discover who they really are, but you, you have begun the journey of self-discovery and you are stronger than that.

Your Word for This Day: “Listen to the Sound”

Thursday, August 10, 2017

“When the Spirit of truth comes,  he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” John 16:13

We all have a unique sound.  That voice inside of us, the one that talks in a tone that is special to us.  That voice is the Spirit of God placed there by God. He has given us His Holy Spirit so that He can speak with us and lead us in the way that we should go.

If we would listen to the sound on the inside of us, we would develop the ability to understand ourselves more.

It is a special sound, a unique sound, a sound that only you could identify because it is your sound.

Do not get so caught up in the world that you fail to hear your sound.  Do not lose yourself so deeply in other things, that the sound on the inside cannot get your attention.

That sound was placed there by your Creator because He knows that you would need it to guide you through life.

Connect with the sound of the voice of God.  You will not regret it.

Listen to the sound.

Your Word for This Day: “Leading From Within”

Wednesday, August 9, 2017

“That each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor.” 1 Thessalonians 4:4

So many of us want to be in charge and to lead others. Why?  Honestly, at times it feels good to be able to tell others what to do.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to lead.  In fact, we were created by God to do just that.  We are born leaders.

The thing is, though, leading must first start with us.

We must lead ourselves.  There is a leader inside every one of us and that leader must first lead himself.

When we have mastered the art of leading ourselves, only then we qualify to lead those around us.

Today, lead yourself to make the right choices and do the right things.

As you lead yourself others would accept you leading them.

Lead from within.

Your Word for This Day: “Doing All Things Well”

Tuesday, August 8, 2017

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  Philippians 4:13

God does all things well.

He made you well.

He gave you talents and abilities that enable you to do so many things.  And, it is up to us to discover exactly what we can do well and max that out to the best of our ability.  That is where our strength lies.  That is where we were wired by God to perform well.

We must be thankful for the things that we do well and also be thankful for the things that we do not do so well. Gratitude is the key.

Remember, God does ALL things well.  Do what you can do to the best of your ability and bring glory to God.  Do not fall for the criticism of others whose job it is to make you feel inadequate about the things that you may not be able to do well. There are others who will do what you cannot do well.  God brings the balance to life.  Where you are weak, He has made others strong.

Today, whatever you have to do, do it to the best of your ability as service unto God. He is empowering you and strengthening you. Do your part well and all will be well.
