Your Word for This Day: “Yes, He’s my Father and He’s Got my back!”

Wednesday, October 25, 2017

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” 1 John 4:4 NLT

Many people go through life wondering who they are.  Who is my father? Who is my mother? These questions of identity cause many hearts to hurt.  We must know, however, know to whom we belong.  We are of God.  We belong to Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.  Doesn’t that make your heart sing and put a smile on your lips?

Accompanying this ownership is the ability and the authority to overcome every attack of the enemy. Why? Because the battle is not ours, it belongs to the Lord! The battle belongs to the Lord because we belong to the Lord!  We are of God. God has put His Spirit within us and has equipped us to be overcomers and more than conquerors. Hallelujah!! What a God!

We must remember daily that we are not of the world.  Others may be, but we, children of the Light, are not. We are of God.  We must behave like Him. Speak like Him.  Walk like Him.  Think like Him.  We are of God.  We have the mind of Christ and the anointing to be conformed to His image.

Today as you meditate on the text, let the love of the Father saturate your being and flow to others.

Father, thank You for making me Your very own.  Thank You for being my God and Owner.  You are the best Father that anyone could ever hope for.  I appreciate all that You do and I am confident that You will take care of me for I am Your child.  Amen.

Your Word for This Day: “As For Me and My Family”

Friday, September 22, 2017

“But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 NLT

God has designed the family unit to be the conduit through which a next generation learns how to love, honour and fear Him. Through the family, we also learn how to love others as we love ourselves. Important life principles are learned and character formed through family relationships and experiences.  A family that loves and serves God together will be a strong family. Today, we declare the word of God over our families and pray that His will would be done in the lives of each member.

Daily Declaration:

I decree and declare that the Spirit of the Lord is upon us as a family — the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2).

I release the spirit of unity and declare that my family is of one mind, united in thought and purpose. I declare that my family is prospering and in health as our souls prosper. I apply the Blood of Jesus Christ upon my family. We are covered from the crowns of our heads to the soles of our feet.

I decree and declare in the authority of the Lord that:

  • My family is following Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth.
  • My family is walking in obedience to the Word of the Lord.
  • My family is prospering in the things of God.
  • My family is blessed.
  • My family is a beacon of light in this world.
  • My family is living in health.
  • Each member of my family is walking in purpose and fulfilling his/her divine destiny.
  • My family is accessing what is rightfully ours.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Your Word for This Day: “I am Blessed and Anointed!”

Friday, September 15, 2017

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” Isaiah 61: 1

Happy Friday to you! This is a reminder for you: You are blessed by God and anointed to do great things for Him on the earth. Whatever He has asked of you, know that He has given you the grace and empowered you to do it.

Let’s declare:

Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, I declare that I am Your child and a chosen member of the Body of Christ.

I speak Your word over my life.  I declare that the Spirit of the Lord God is upon me and He has anointed me to operate in His Kingdom.  I declare that I am anointed for purpose, and that purpose is unfolding every minute in my life.

Lord, because I belong to You, I am anointed to destroy the works of the enemy in my life that would seek to hinder and obstruct my progress in the things of God and cause me to be a stumbling block to myself.

As I advance, I am divinely empowered and increasing in skill and understanding. The Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God (Eph. 1:17) is operating mightily in my life and I am becoming the powerful saint of God that I was created to be.

In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Your Word for This Day: “Looking in the Mirror”

Good morning! After a 1 week break, we are back to share the powerful word of God with you! Thanks for receiving and sharing our daily devotional.

Monday, September 11, 2017

“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

Do you see a person who has a great God living on the inside and being manifested on the outside to the world?

We are all born to make our mark and change the world.

Yes, your circumstances may not be what you wish them to be, but that does not change the fact that you were born for greatness.  If you would believe it and begin to confess it, you would be amazed at what would happen in your life.

What you confess is what you would possess.  Start declaring the greatness that is on the inside of you.  Look at your self with a different attitude and mindset.  Acknowledge the God whose Spirit lives within you and allow that spirit to lead you and guide you to the true you.

You are not ordinary.  You were created by an extraordinary God to do amazing things in this life.  Stop looking at yourself through the eyes of the world and start looking at yourself through the word of God.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.  God calls you His marvellous works.

You were meant to accomplish and achieve more than you will ever imagine.

It is time for you to see yourself the way that God sees you.

Your Word for This Day: “Now, Not Later”

Thursday, August 31, 2017

“Don’t put it off; do it now! Don’t rest until you do.” Proverbs 6:4 NLT

How many times have you put off for tomorrow something that was screaming at you to be done today? We can all testify that we have fallen prey to procrastination.

Procrastinators tend to work from behind. They are always trying to catch up because of the too many times they did the easy thing rather than the necessary thing. People who wish to walk in power and purpose cannot be procrastinators. They must develop the skills and discipline required to avoid procrastinating so that they could accomplish their purpose. They must  always look to be a step ahead.  This would enable them to accomplish more with less stress on their lives.

Think about this for a minute: Procrastinators accomplish less and have more stress. People who don’t procrastinate accomplish more and have less stress.

As one person rightly said “Procrastination never won a race, received a promotion or changed the outcome of any situation.” Procrastination is our enemy. If we ever want to get anything done in this life we have to learn avoid procrastination.  We have to decide today to get moving forward towards our purpose in life.

We are not promised tomorrow.  All we have is right now.  We cannot afford to put off the decision to make our lives count.

Now is the time to take action.  Not tomorrow, but now. Right now.  You only have one life to live.  This is not a trial run, but it is the real thing.  Now is YOUR time!

Your Word for This Day: “You Only Live Once…”

Thursday, August 24, 2017

“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11

In social media, there is a phrase that many people use, it is: YOLO – which means “you only live once”.

So many have used that as a license to do whatever they want to do, whether or not what they are doing is pleasing to God and bring the blessings that obedience brings.

However, that statement is only partially true.  You only live once on earth, but there is another life after death.  A life lived in eternity.  Eternity is also once, but unlike this earthly life, it does not end.  Eternity is forever.

The choices that you make with this one life that you live now, will determine where you spend your other life.

Do not fall for the lies of the devil.  Make the choice to live for God in this life, so that you can spend eternity with Him in your other life.

You are His child.  He gave you His identity.  He loves you and He wants to spend that other life with you.

It’s all up to you. What will you choose to do?

Your Word for This Day: “Destiny Calls”

Friday, August 18, 2017

“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.” Psalm 138: 8

You are a child of the King, His blood flows in you.  His DNA is yours, you are above, not below at all.

You have a purpose and a destiny to fulfill for humanity.  You do not live unto yourself, you are part of a greater picture.

Realize today that you must be quick to obey.

You must do what you have to do to fulfill your vision and walk in your true identity.

There is no time to delay.  There is no time to waste.  God is depending on you to respond to the call He has for you.

Your purpose must be fulfilled no matter the cost.  Turn away from all sin, get rid of all limiting mindsets, confront your fears and let destiny be your path.

This is the day, this is the time, this is the season, there is no time for the past.

Destiny calls.
