Your Word for This Day: “Violent Pursuit of Destiny”

Monday, April 13, 2015

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11:12

We are empowered to change, to be transformed, to be made new.

We are anointed to achieve our destiny, fulfill our life’s purpose and become all that we were created to be.

This is possible because of the resurrection power that is resident in us. The same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, that caused Him to overcome death and the power of darkness, now lives in every born again believer of Jesus Christ. We are fully loaded and destined to win.

As we continue in our study of “Being Alive in 2015”, we arrive at the letter V. Here’s the question that we must ask ourselves today: “Am I violently pursuing the destiny that God gave to me?

When we think of doing something violently, we automatically think of acting in a rage and hurting something or someone. But, that is just one aspect of being violent.

To do something violently is also to act with intensity, to be furious in energy, and to act with strong force.

The Holy Spirit is within us to enable us to pursue after what God has prepared for us with great energy and strong force. He is within us to empower us to lay hold of the Kingdom with every fiber of our being and access our divine inheritance. He is within us to cause us to triumph over every obstacle that comes our way!

It’s time for us to rise and and stir up the gifts within us. It’s time to live out what we believe. It’s time to max out every moment we are given by the Almighty.

It’s time to violently pursue our destinies, by the power of God!
