“So [Elijah] departed from there, and found Elisha… Then Elijah passed by him and threw his mantle on him. And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, “Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.”

1 Kings 19:20

It’s not possible to so say “yes” to God and have things remain the same in your life. That’s just the way it is! When we say yes, whether it be to a new diet, starting a family, buying a car or going back to school, there are always changes.

“You see, with the saying of “yes” comes a SHIFT– a big SHIFT in our lives. The Shift may involve a shift in your physical location. It may involve a shift in your thinking. It may involve a shift in your finances. It may involve a shift in your comfortable familiar life.  Saying “yes” always involves a SHIFT.” – The Shift

Elisha was born to be a prophet—He didn’t know it yet. God would send Elijah to train him for his destiny. One day, as Elisha was tending to his cattle, Elijah passed by and threw his mantle on him, signifying that the prophet’s anointing was his if he would say yes to the call. When the summons came, Elisha didn’t even hesitate. He said goodbye to his parents and to the life he knew, and followed after Elijah, becoming his servant.

When God calls us to walk in our destiny, why do we hesitate? Why do we wonder, ponder, analyze, and investigate, instead of say “yes”, “I will” “Here am I” “Send me” and obey? God’s grace is sufficient for you. His Holy Spirit is with you. All of heaven is behind you. You are ready!
