“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.” Romans 8:14
Have you ever been on a tour and had a guide showing you all the interesting parts of the place that you were at? Because the guide is familiar with the territory, he is able to direct and steer you in the right direction without difficulty. He can tell you where to walk, where to find things and make your journey a very interesting one.
Left on our own, we would probably get lost and have to stop and ask for directions. We may miss seeing many of the sights of the location because we do not know where to go or what to look for.
In our life, however, we do not have to worry about getting lost or missing out on the scenery because we have a Shepherd who is guiding us every step of the way.
He knows where we are going because He pre-determined our destination before we were born. He knows how to get us there and while getting us there, how to keep us from missing out on anything important or necessary for us.
He is an expert guide. He guides us by His Holy Spirit. Our response must be to listen to His voice and walk in obedience. Romans 8:14 says, “Those who are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
As sons or children of God, we must determine in our hearts to follow the guidance of our Shepherd. As we do so, we would enjoy His presence and enter into His rest.
Where He guides us, we will follow.
Do you trust your Shepherd? The way that you follow would let you know how much or how little you trust your Shepherd to guide you where He wants you to go.
This is so comforting as we come to realize that it is not our responsibility to figure out where we should go or how to get there. Our Shepherd is on the job twenty-four hours a day. He does not fall asleep or go on vacation. He is the Way.

I give thanks that my Guide, the Great Jehovah, is directing all my affairs as I go through my day.
